Dog of the Week
Female, 2 yrs old, 48lbs. Pamela is a member of our Lonely Hearts Club
Pamela came to DCHS from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama. We think that she is some type of terrier, pit bull mix with some beautiful brindle coloring.
Pamela can be shy when you first meet her and some loud noises do spook her, like loud squeaky toys. That being said she is an absolute sweet heart. Once you let her sniff you she will love you! I went in to meet her and as soon as she sniffed my hand she didn’t want to leave my side. She is pretty relaxed and seems to prefer cuddling, but she does love to go outside. I started scratching her collar area and she rested her head on my knee and did not want me to stop.
The best home for Pamela would be one that has older children. She also is okay with other animals, as long as they are not to hyper or loud. Pamela is a member of our Lonely Hearts Club, meaning she has been with us a bit longer than the typical stay and her adoption fee has been reduced.
